Paint Prep 101: Fill those Holes Cleanly

One of the most time consuming (and occasionally frustrating) things to do before painting is filling and sanding holes in your walls. We’ve got an idea of how to make it cleaner and easier.

Grab a sandwich bag (like a Ziploc) and use it as a spackling paste dispenser. “Cut a small hole in one of the corners, depending on the size of the hole you need to fill, and gently squeeze out what you need,” explains Torsten from Coast Hardware in Willits.

“After you’re done seal the bag, so the paste stays moist,” he adds.
